  • SONAR has very high speed of communication to communicate in the marine areas.
  • It is budget friendly technology.
  • SONAR system can be used to detect large number of underwater activities. This is because; SONAR technology is unable to reduce most sea water as compare to RADAR waves as well as light waves.
  • SONAR system also helps to measures the depth of water level in underwater
  • SONAR technology is not able to transfer the data.
  • It can be affected by other sound waves by used in outside water.
  • SONAR system makes lot of noise while using because they use very high signal of the sound waves.
  • SONAR sends many sound waves that effects many marine animals like: turtles, sea lions, dolphins, seals, and etc. So, it is very harmful for marine life.
  • SONAR system disturbed by other sound waves of the ocean. But not affect by these waves like: electromagnetic waves like UV, Radio wave etc.
  • Due to high beam of SONAR technology, it can be getting wrong directional resolution.
